I really think all this cards depend on the powerlevel of your deck, your playgroup and on your playstyle. If i am losing i just wanna see a teferis protection, a board wipe like Farewell or cyclonic rift... if i'm winning i'm already winning and every card is just fuel

Oh man anyone who gets 50 life and then uses Aetherflux reservoir to force players to do things as hostages is an immediate focus for all my attacks and removal. At that point I don't care if I lose the game, that player cannot win.

I would argue that the game would be much improved if more cards were janky like this. My example of a poorly designed card would be a card that gives you a benefit when it comes into play, but then it also includes a triggered ability that returns it to your hand. It should do one or the other, and then it's interactions with another card allow a combo to emerge. I quit MTG about 20 years ago because they started to poorly design the cards.

Whirlwind Denial is not strictly better in every situation. For example, if you're playing commander, the player at your left plays a board wipe which you want to resolve, but the player at your right wants to counter it, you can't counter the counter because you're ALSO countering the board wipe. Relic Barrier: Your opponent takes control of your turn, he can tap things you own, which you don't want. Affectionate Intrik: Same, if your opponent takes control of your turn, he can avoid killing his own creatures.

Tel-Jel Stylus in Zirilan of the Claw or any other Sneak Attack deck with the exile/sacrifice delayed trigger on the stack to put the card back on the bottom of the deck and in Zirilan of the Claw, just go get the same dragon every turn. Also it says its Own, so its very good to get back something that was stolen from you or to put your commander back into the CZ if someone steals it. Also, if you only drawing 1 card from and said effect, us it on itself to prevent yourself from losing with no library as you'll put it on the bottom, draw it and keep going and then play it again. Also can trigger Raid triggers too

Or just throw an Avatar of Serra + Trostani, Selesbia-fs la('xsr (+, if you will, Bramble Sovereign and/or flickers like "Gilraen, ..." or "Distinguished Conjurer" or "Angel of Condemnation "/) combo

I think you were missing a part during your setup. You mention efficient spot removal, synergy spot removal, then jumped over to the average number of single, multi, and wipes... in other words, defining what a multi-removal spell is with an example or two was skipped over.
